Where it is
Three small coves, fine gravel naturist beach at the foot of the Troncone cliff, just outside Marina di Camerota along the Mingardo coast.
Between Palinuro and Marina di Camerota, along the Mingardo coast, Troncone beach occupies a particularly striking stretch of the Cilento region, where high rocky cliffs descend towards a sea that takes on very clear tones on calm days. The naturist sector, also known as Cala Finocchiaro, has been officially recognized by the Municipality of Camerota since 2011 and extends for about 400 meters, divided into three coves of pebbles, small stones, and coarse sand visually protected by the ridge.
The most practical access is from the Trettrè and Aruba lido area: after leaving the car along the road or in the available parking lots, you walk down towards the sea and continue on foot along the beach towards the signed area. The first cove is very small, the second offers more space, while the third is traditionally the largest; precisely the latter, however, is also the one most affected by erosion and storms. Historical directions speak of a simple crossing with water at ankle height, but in recent years some visitors have reported much more demanding conditions: the depth of the crossing therefore varies with the sea, season, and temporary shape of the shoreline and should not be taken for granted.
Once past the busiest sector, the context changes quickly: no beach establishments inside the naturist coves, little noise, and a rocky wall that increases the feeling of isolation. Bars, restaurants, and other services remain in the initial part of the beach, so it is advisable to get organized before reaching the coves, especially in the months of July and August, when the available space can run out quickly.
The cliff contributes greatly to the charm of Troncone, but also requires caution: it is preferable not to set up immediately below the wall, where small detachments of material can occur, and always evaluate sea conditions before crossing from one cove to another. It is precisely this combination of rock, transparent water, and relative isolation that makes Troncone one of the most characteristic naturist experiences in Southern Italy, even with a shoreline that in recent years has become more fragile and changeable due to erosion.

Leaving Marina di Camerota towards Palinuro, you go through the tunnel and reach the access near Lido Trettre, in the Mingardo locality. From the first cove, you continue along the shoreline towards the other two areas.
The coves are small and in high season they can fill up early; the passage to the third cove (the nudist one) is practicable only with a calm sea.
Access to the coves is free; parking, bar, and services of the nearby lidos are for a fee according to their respective price lists.
The first access is relatively short, but gravel, natural passages, and the water connection to the last cove do not allow full accessibility.
The Municipality of Camerota allocated about four hundred meters of Troncone beach to naturist practice with Municipal Board resolution no. 80 of 2011.
