Where it is
The naturist beach at the mouth of the Piave river, within the protected environment of the Laguna del Mort, accessible by a long walk from Eraclea Mare.
The Laguna del Mort, between Eraclea Mare and the mouth of the Piave river, occupies one of the last stretches of the Upper Adriatic coast that has remained largely untouched by urbanization. The lagoon was formed in 1935 when a flood changed the course of the Piave, leaving the river's previous outlet isolated, which over time turned into a shallow water environment surrounded by pine forests, dunes, and salt marsh vegetation. Today, the entire area is part of the ZSC Laguna del Mort e Pinete di Eraclea, protected for its particular environmental and faunal value.
The beach can be reached from Eraclea Mare via paths accessible on foot or by bicycle, along a route that partly runs directly alongside the lagoon and uses wooden boardwalks; depending on the starting point, you should expect about half an hour of walking. This very distance from parking lots and tourist areas helps preserve its secluded character, while on the beach itself there are no bars, showers, toilets, or lidos, so water, food, and sun protection must be brought with you.
The stretch near the river mouth has historically been frequented by naturists and in 2011 was also the subject of a specific municipal authorization, though limited to that season and subsequently not renewed; the practice has continued over the years, but today it is therefore not an officially authorized naturist beach.
More than a normal equipped beach, the Laguna del Mort should be experienced as a protected natural environment: only designated paths and openings must be used, avoiding dunes and vegetation, while fires and smoking are prohibited and pets are not allowed on the beach.

From Eraclea Mare, take Via dei Pioppi to the parking lot, then continue on foot or by bicycle along the marked trails that run alongside and around the lagoon, until reaching the beach near the mouth of the Piave river.
Access is regulated to protect the natural area. Only marked trails must be used and any closures related to nesting, maintenance, or hydraulic conditions must be respected.
Access to the beach is free; parking in Eraclea Mare may be subject to a fee.
The distance from the parking lot, natural trails, and the final stretch on the sand do not make the area normally accessible in a wheelchair.
Naturist practice is provided for in the portion delimited by municipal planning. The intermunicipal regulation of the Laguna del Mort was approved by the Municipality of Jesolo with council resolution no. 125 of December 10, 2024.
